7.5 Tonne Licence
Acquisition
Are you driving without
a licence?
Due to a change in the law from the 1st January 1997, new holders
of a Class B / Car Licence are no longer qualified to drive medium
sized lorries ranging form 3.5 to 7.5 tonnes. They now must hold
a licence C1. In order to obtain this licence, the candidate must
pass a medical, a C1 theory and practical driving test and be over
the age of eighteen
Theory Test and H.P.T.
(New Hazard Perception Test), Help to Pass:
To hold either a C1 /
7.5 tonne or LGV / PCV licence you must first pass the DSA theory
test before taking a practical driving test. NTS offers a one-day
course to help prepare the candidate to pass this to avoid any delay
in training.
C1+E training can be carried out using our 7.5 tonne LGV with a trailer or with our large van and trailer.

Tachograph Training:
The tachograph is used
as an essential part of the modern driver's everyday job when driving
vehicles over 3.5 tonne. How, why and when is the tachograph used?
This is not part of the driving test. It is usually left to the
driver to learn and understand the rules and regulations himself/herself.
NTS offer a half-day course to enable the driver to understand the
tachograph regulations and how to use them effectively and legally.
HI AB Training also availible!
Industry Training:
Industry Training can
range from operating loaded vehicles, and multi-range gearboxes,
load distribution to keep axle weights legal and restraining loads
(roping/sheeting/strapping) etc. |
