Course Description
The LGV training course is designed to train candidates wishing to pursue a career as a professional large goods driver, we offer training in the following categories.
To train candidates in the skills and principles involved in large goods vehicles to a standard where they are able to pass a Driving Standards Agency driving test.

Course Requirements
- You must get a medical examination; to enable you to get provisional entitlement on your current licence , we can arrange this for you
- Then you must sit your theory and hazard perception test – we supply free tuition for the test and you can purchase the official DSA theory book for LGV’s and the hazard perception driving test disc from your local bookstore
- Then you must then sit a module 2 – case studies - of the driver CPC (however if you have already got grandfather rights for category C1 you do not need to sit this test)
Driver CPC Training
Driver CPC is a European Union directive that affects all professional LGV (Large Goods Vehicle) and PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) drivers.
For new drivers it introduces an initial qualification, the Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence), which increases the amount of knowledge that drivers need before they can drive.
