Funding via Modern Apprenticeship Programme
NEW FUNDING
Modern Apprenticeship Scheme
We have funding through the Modern Apprenticeship programme, which is a work based training programme with an associated SVQ. The Employer’s needs to sign the individual up to the programme and allow us access the person for the SVQ assessment process.
The SVQ associated with this is Driving Goods Vehicles or Warehousing and Storage. The SVQ is assessment based, where an assessor will come out to the workplace to assess the trainee’s competence and knowledge in various units of the SVQ; this could include health and safety in the workplace, driving a company vehicle, loading a company vehicle, customer service for example.
There are generally 3-4 visits during the scheme, each visit lasts approx 3 hours at a time and is job related. We try to not to impact too much on the individuals daily duties, training dates will only be discussed after the 1st and 2nd visit has been completed
Without the SVQ there is no funding. We do ask that the SVQ be started before we commence with any training to ensure we have a drawdown of funds to allocate towards the training.
If you are an employee or have employee’s that you are looking to get their Cat C, Cat C+E, C1, forklift, CPC Course, jeep and trailer licence, we can possibly help with the training and getting their licence either part / fully funded.
