Requirements

Must hold a full C1/C/CE or D1/D licence

Must hold a current CPC Card

The Course

Courses are approved for 7 hours for your Driver CPC and include the following courses:

Driver health and well being – to inform drivers of customer service skills, driver behaviour and attitude and general health and well being in balance with healthy working lives

Driver Legislation – to inform drivers of the rules and regulations which affect them as professional lorry drivers, incorporating the VOSA enforcements, drivers hours and regulations, digital tachographs.

Loading security principles – to inform drivers of load security and awareness.  This incorporates practical exercises for loading and unloading along with power point presentation

Emergency first aid – to teach drivers to be able to administer emergency first aid and be able to assess emergency situations.  This course is run to HSE guidelines and follows the St Andrews Ambulance Course Syllabus.
