Well done Graeme :)
Massive well done to Grame who passed his Cat C and Module 4 test today 🙂
Graeme obtained funding for his licence via the Modern Apprenticeship programme and also gains an SVQ in Driving Goods Vehicles
Interested in funding!
We have funding through the Modern Apprenticeship programme, which is a work based training programme with an associated SVQ. The Employer’s needs to sign the individual up to the programme and allow us access the person for the SVQ assessment process.
The SVQ associated with this is Driving Goods Vehicles or Warehousing and Storage. The SVQ is assessment based, where an assessor will come out to the workplace to assess the trainee’s competence and knowledge in various units of the SVQ; this could include health and safety in the workplace, driving a company vehicle, loading a company vehicle, customer service for example.
Without the SVQ there is no funding. We do ask that the at least 2 SVQ visits have taken place before we commence with any training to ensure we have a drawdown of funds to allocate towards the training. The SVQ is work based assessment and visits are carried out once every 8 to 12 weeks approximately. However what the trainees can be doing whilst the SVQ is taking place is to get their medicals done, apply for their Provisionals and start the study for their theory tests as all that takes time that can be utilised in the initial SVQ stages.
